Terms

Last updated September 2026

Short version: Rilo texts you about things you said you would do, you send proof, and Rilo decides whether it counts. It gets that wrong sometimes. Use it anyway, but do not use it for anything where being wrong is dangerous.

The waitlist

Right now the public page collects waitlist signups. Joining puts your email, and your phone number if you gave one, on a list so we can tell you when early access opens. It does not create an account, does not start any text messages, and is not a purchase or a promise of a place.

We open access in batches and we may not get to everyone. When your turn comes you will be asked to sign up properly, including agreeing to be texted.

Using Rilo

You need to be 18 or older and you need to give us a phone number you actually control. Signing someone else up is not allowed.

One account per person. Do not use Rilo to harass, spam, or impersonate anyone.

Texts

Rilo sends automated messages. Message frequency depends on how many commitments you make and your check-in setting. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out and HELP for help. The full details are in the SMS terms.

Proof, and how wrong it can be

Rilo uses a model to look at what you send and guess whether it supports what you committed to. This is a judgement call, not a measurement. It will sometimes accept something it should not, and sometimes ask again when you did the work.

We store a confidence score with every decision. If Rilo gets it wrong, tell it and it will move on. Nothing here is an audit, a certification, or evidence of anything.

What Rilo is not

  • Not medical, mental health, legal, or financial advice.
  • Not a safety system. Do not use it for medication, treatment, or anything where a missed message causes harm.
  • Not a system of record. Do not rely on it as proof to anyone else.

Your content

What you write and the proof you send stay yours. You give us permission to store and process it so the product can work: to send it over SMS, to show it back to you, and to pass it to the model that judges proof. Nothing more.

Availability

Rilo is provided as is. We do not promise it will always be up, always be on time, or always deliver a message. Carriers drop texts. Models have bad minutes. Plan accordingly.

To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the last twelve months, which for now is nothing.

Ending it

You can stop at any time: text STOP, or email us to delete your account entirely. We can suspend an account that is being used to abuse the service or other people.

Changes and contact

If these terms change materially we will post it here. Questions go to hey@userilo.com.
