SMS terms

Last updated September 2026

What you are agreeing to when you give Rilo your number.

Not running yet

Rilo is not sending text messages to the public today. The page is collecting waitlist signups while the messaging program is being finalized, and giving us your number there is not consent to be texted. When early access opens you will be asked for that separately, and these terms are what you will be agreeing to.

What you get

Rilo sends automated text messages about the commitments you make: a confirmation when you set one, a check-in before the deadline, a request for proof after it, and a note when you keep or miss it.

Message frequency varies and depends on how many commitments you make. A typical day is two to five messages. You can turn check-ins down to the minimum in settings, or tell Rilo to stop reminding you about a specific thing.

Consent

You consent by entering your phone number and ticking the box, or by texting our number first. Consent is not a condition of any purchase. Only enter a number you control.

Cost

Rilo does not charge for messages. Msg & data rates may apply from your carrier.

Stopping

  • Reply STOP to any message and we stop immediately. You will get one confirmation and nothing after that.
  • Reply START to turn messages back on.
  • Reply HELP for support, or email us.
  • You can also switch texts off in the app under Settings.

Carriers

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery is not guaranteed, and supported carriers can change.

Privacy

Your number and your messages are handled as described in the privacy policy. We do not sell your data and we do not share your number with marketers.
